Doesn't sound good at all. Try not to die though.

Nah, it did happen. I managed to get into Melbourne and stay with Alpheon, so I am happy even if I ended up soaked and frustrated at the trains.

For anyone that actually wants to know where it is, because retards keep marking things on Google Maps way wrong (I'm awesome at triangulation, etc, and I mean, really the satellite photo kinda makes it foolproof, but I digress)

RAAF memorial site (the only reason I started going the right way):

[Heaps of people sleep / park'n'sleep at this site apparently, first time I'd been there, quite nice looking, very remote though].

It was from here I could move NW more easily, and past the NEW SOUTH WALES (lit sigh), and 100m past it turn around and see the AUSTRALIAN CAPITAL TERRITORY sign (identical style, stone + lettering lit quite nicely) - totally remote, not a rest stop in it's own right - but it felt good. Further down I could see 'a' RYDGES logo (going to each RYDGES is kinda my 'domestic travel' hobby on top of a 4WD parked in the nature reserve area, that 90% of people would miss if driving I swear).

From this peak (at night, in rather bad conditions) you can not see the resort I was at, but you can make out something, which was the RAAF memorial / rest site. (I think, or at least it was a light on a large stone building I never found again, but it let me in the totally right direction whatever it was).

    To clarify:
    - I 'love' the rain & one of my favourite songs is 'Rain' by 'Yoko Kanno' (I think, the Cowboy Bebop one "WALK... IN THE RAIN... IN THE RAIN... <organs / semi opera - classical style, but really deep orchestra>..., even though the 'Wolfs Rain' ones (all of them) also suit me to a 'tea' ), it was VERY heavy rain to be lining up in Civic for a live band, but the live band was REALLY good, so even if they were trying to set me up, most (city) girls wouldn't have weather it (unless they were staying at the backpackers, which is part of our Transit Bar), and most backpacker girls would've 'roughed' it (cough, easy).
    - I've been wearing the same cloths (but keeping them surprisingly cleaning and in good condition considering what I just 'accomplished') for about 4 days, 'cuz I wear stuff to work that is awesome attire (for work) and even more awesome attire for the Transit bar (esp this gig). [Well I was, I just had a shower, and I've been at a resort for 31 hours, and walking for about 12 hours, sleeping for at least 7 hours). [I only got 3 hours of sleep Friday morning though, thx to 'Wiskez' - ROFL].
    - A totally random girl in the line said she was 'after me', even though she was 'before me' in the line, she was attractive but my heart is kinda set on 5 - 7 girls already so I kinda killed the convo before it even started (like an idiot, based on what happens next).
    - Mates of another mate showed up with girls too, then left to 'our' Uni Pub bar (10 min walk) because of the line. Told them 'I'd wait another 15 minutes because I was almost at the front of the line and expecting too see my other 'group' inside already (my watch froze at 9:05 PM) - I should've left with 'Uni Pub' group in retrospect.
    - Said I'd be there at 9:20 to 9:40 PM, and if not to check the Casino for me (or I'd go home - this was before the weather & cold snap kicked in), I was not in line until 10:00 PM anyway, and left around 11:05 PM feeling rather 'duped'.
    - Checked the Uni Pub, but the pikers had already left
    - Then walked to 1st groups mates place in Dickson... and from their my adventure starts.

Still - It had Pros: No Phones (plural), or technology, or anything bad for 3 days = awesome. Fresh country air = awesome (food tastes 100 times better, for sure), Heaps of 'home cooked' country style 'diner' meals, a pub, and a resort all at Eagle Hawk (it's in NSW, but really far out by foot, through all kinds of wilderness and terrain). I know how to make a compass from a 'sewing kit' (resort) and magnets (or battery to make electric magnet), pool of water, and something that floats to find dead North at night (heavy cloud / rain, moon didn't rise from east that night, but I had a better 'rough' idea vs most locals anyway.... (servo guy was off by like 35 - 45 degrees, so I waited until sun rise to find east, then dead north using another trick I know).

I surprised myself with what I know, and used red-tape for good (actual red tape, like electrical insulation / cosplay tape, not the Government kind ).

That little headache I always have but ignore actually totally went away while I was in Eagle Hawk - it's a small, but good community, I told them I would return.

Somehow the rain doesn't affect my cashmere jacket + scarf (and that's all that kept my alive). [It wraps around it, like it's blessed or enchanted somehow, my scarf stopped me from dying at least 3 times already, 4 if you count all the 'live' spider webs I walked though in the dark] .

My head still isn't clear, and the 'moderate headache that I put up with when in the Canberra area' just came back. I can tell it isn't from lack of sleep, etc, as it is a totally 'induced by something external to by body' headache.

I gotta get out of Canberra again ASAP - I hate it here, just I have a job so good no 'sane' person would leave. (No sane person would do what I just did in the last 3 days though).

Oh, and I don't have a cat, but I used to have a dog (German Shepherd, but it was light coloured) that was raised by cats. Making him a rather cool dog.

    eh, I'm still alive.

I think a mate is trying to set me up with someone, but it was raining, so I was in line at the Transit bar (Canberra) for like an hour, to see a pretty popular band perform, but when I finally got in, the gig was over and mates didn't show up because of the rain (nor did the person they may, or may not be, trying to set me up with).

So I was a little weirded out / annoyed, walked an hour to his place, a house mate just happened to arrive 5 minutes after I did, so she woke him up, and I asked WTF ?, etc, etc

Then I walked to Eagle Hawk, (via Dickson, Mawson) from Civic (which took 6 hours, with no map, no compass, and not much visibility, having never done it before, at night, not knowing where north was), then back on the 3rd day, via a different route past vineyards / wineries, firing ranges, miljura military groups, and horse / cow padocks, to 'Brand Depo' (near our airport) to resupply after 3 days, then back to Civic (Transit Bar, to make it a complete circle - it just seamed right even though it was closed been Sunday night), then to 'our' Pancake Parlor (same brand as Melbourne CBD one).

So basically: I went for a 3 day walk into the wilderness (with only want I had in my pockets) and didn't die, freeze to death (there was a huge cold snap), starve, get shot, or eaten by crows, etc.

When I got 'near' the Federal Hwy (23, NW from Canberra) I 'stumbled' across a resort (it is not visible by LOS, but it is past a RAFF memorial site that JUST got my attention from 3-5 km away at night). The resort that I just 'happen' to be a member of (via other means), and stayed there for about 31 hours for cheap.

Turns out I love Eagle Hawk, and maybe Bungendor - even though they're both at least 50 - 60 km return 'walks' for me.

It was awesome, for me, but it was also very painful (feet, shoulders, legs, etc).

and that is why I have been offline for the entire weekend up until now.
